Teen Book Review : Potion Diaries: Royal Tour by Amy Alward

The book Potion Diaries: Royal Tour by Amy Alward is a great sequel to the original book Potion Diaries. It keeps the same charm and enchantment as the first book but builds onto the characters relationships in the former book. The book will keep your unwavering attention the entire time your reading. This book is a good middle book for the series, tying in similar messages like the first book. You will attain a deeper meaning of the book if you read the first one. Both of the books are light and fluffy, just an easy going read that will keep you intrigued the -entire time. The book series itself is not sending the reader powerful messages. If you are looking for a book that will really move you and make you rethink your prior beliefs, this is not the book for you. But if you are looking for a calming book that is just entertaining and light hearted, then this is it. The book starts off where the first one left off. The challenges in the book are a mix of old and new. Evelyn is having trouble controlling her magic and Sam’s grandfather is in the hospital. I don’t want to spoil any more of the plot but the book is laced with mayhem! I personally love smart and matter of fact Sam, loyal and ever so trusting Zain .and lovely Evelyn. The second book didn’t live up to my expectations but it was still a good read. I am excited to continue on with the series and I think other readers who are looking to read for pleasure would enjoy this book.
