Teen movie reviewer – Max Martin

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker by Max Martin

Directed by J.J.  Abrams and starring Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver as the two main protagonist’s Rey and Kylo Ren. Rey and Kylo  fight on two different sides of a galactic war even though they are in love with each other. Eventually they unite together after they  realize there is a greater evil in the galaxy when (*spoiler alert*) Emperor Palpatine returns from the grave and promises to re establish his tyrannical empire once again.

Adam Driver’s performance throughout the movie is able to perfectly capture the internal conflict of Kylo Ren. During the course of the movie Kylo Ren is being pulled apart by both the darkside as well as the light side of the force. Even though he wants to be powerful and rule he still has regrets for some of the things he’s done to his family, such as killing his father and abandoning his mother and of course his love for Rey

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is highly recommended. It is a fitting end to the Skywalker family saga that has been going on for 42 years.
