Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth
(2024) 359 pages
This book captivated my attention from the very first time I read the blurb. It sounded so interesting to me that I decided I definitely needed to read this. I think that it was quite an enjoyable read, even if the ending and some aspects of the plot were a tiny bit difficult to believe. I liked how each character got chapters dedicated to their point of view, even if sometimes the nature of them was exaggerated to the point that it was sort of doubtful. What I can say is that the plot is very interesting and a rollercoaster of a ride. The twist in the end was also quite unexpected, even if it was a little unbelievable. The underlying message of child abuse is quite saddening and scary, and is a key part of this book. Overall this book is a 4/5, and an interesting read for anyone interested in thriller stories.
