Hustle (2022)
Rated R, 1 hour 57 minutes

Hustle is a basketball movie centered around a guy called Bo Cruz and a scout named Stanley Beren. Stanley is a veteran scout in the NBA and he goes to Spain to scout some potential players for the Philadelphia 76ers. There he meets a street basketball player named Bo Cruz who has a lot of raw talent. He convinces him to leave his family behind to come to America with him to train for the NBA combine and the draft. In America, Stanley and Bo Cruz overcome many obstacles together and grow closer together. Eventually Bo is reunited with his family and his hard work pays off and he gets a shot in the NBA. The movie ends with Stanley and Bo meeting in an NBA game on two separate teams.

This movie is an excellent basketball movie. The most noticeable thing about this movie is the cast of the movie. The cast included many legendary NBA legends and current players as well. The acting is top tier and everyone in the movie plays their role very well. The movie is a feel good movie and as I watched the movie, it made me root for Bo more and more as the movie went on. This movie definitely has themes of perseverance and hard work but also the importance of family and morals. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone. (8/10)

Up (2009)
Rated PG, 1 hour 36 minutes

Up is a heartfelt family movie that makes anyone feel good. The movie begins with Carl and Ellie as kids and eventually in the future, the two get married. They live happily and are content with their lives. Time passes and they are both old. One day Ellie collapses and dies shortly after. This has a toll on Carl. His house is to be destroyed so to protect the home he and Ellie built, he attaches hundreds of balloons to the top of his house and travels to South America where he and Ellie wanted to go. Along the way, Carl befriends a boy named Russell and the two work together to take down an evil entrepreneur named Charles who hunts down rare birds in the region. The movie ends with Carl appreciating his life and being a role model to Russell.

This movie is the pinnacle of pixar. This movie has humor, action, and compassion and truly represents what Pixar animation is all about. This is a movie for all people and I definitely recommend this movie to anyone as this movie is one of the top animations I think of all time. (9/10).

2012 (2009)
Rated PG-13, 2 hours 38 minutes

2012 is a natural disaster movie that speculates what would happen if the sun heated the earth’s core to the point where it would shift the tectonic plates. The movie starts with Adrian Helmsley visiting his friend Satnam Tsurutani in India and he learns that solar flares are heating the Earth’s core. Adrian informs the white house and by 2010, nations start building giant arks in the Himalayas to save humanity. These arks are funded by selling tickets to the rich. Fast forward to 2012, Jackson Curtis, a chauffeur and author, learns of the impending global catastrophes. He takes his family to safety after witnessing signs of disaster. They join Yuri Karpov, a Russian billionaire, and escape to Las Vegas, where they find a larger plane to reach the arks in Asia. As the world faces massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, the group flies to the Himalayas. They eventually sneak onto one of the arks with the help of a monk. As the tsunami approaches, Adrian convinces the commanders of the arks to let more people board. The movie ends with the ark going to Africa where there is land and Jackson reconciles with his ex-wife Kate.

This movie is the ultimate disaster movie. It has almost everything you could want in a disaster movie. The disasters shown in the movie are on a giant scale and the CGI in the movie is unbelievable. This movie truly shows the survival of humanity and I definitely recommend this movie. (7.5/10)
