Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan
(2021) 336 pages
“Daughter of the Deep” by Rick Riordan is about a kid named Ana Dakkar who doesn’t know that she is a descendant of the legendary Captain Nemo until her school Harding-Pencraft Academy is attacked and blown up. In addition, they think they are the only ones alive and go to a secret island. They find the Nautilus and are eventually tracked down and she finds out her brother is the one that betrayed the school and helped the enemy school. In the end, they win and the day is saved. In my opinion, the only reason I wouldn’t rate this four stars is that there is no sequel and in my opinion it hard not to want one sequel.
