The TV show Supernatural ran from 2005-2020. It was a 15 season show falling under the genres of Action, Mystery, and Horror. I used to be always afraid of anything too horror but I loved this show. If I could compare it to anything else I would say it’s like Criminal Minds but instead of hunting down serial killers, they hunt down demons and spirits. It’s the perfect gateway for the horror genre. Every episode is different and there’s at least a little bit of comedic relief in every episode. Since the events are cut up into episode long stories there’s not really a reoccurring villain that you have to worry about like how it is in most horror movies or franchises. It’s simple to understand and the jump-scares still have some “jumps” to them. Following the journey of the two brothers Sam and Dean try to find their dad by killing monsters is so fun to watch and the mystery is so worth the adrenaline and fear from watching the scary parts. Would recommend!
