Wooden Craft Wars

Theresa of Theresa’s Programs was here this afternoon for a painting challenge. Teens got to pick a wooden item to paint in anyway they wanted. Everyone voted on someone other than themselves and we had a winner. The voting was very close, these teens are creative!!!

Some teens wanted to vote for this glob of paint, it is pretty!

Snowman Snow Pile

Rosemarie Attard came to the library yesterday with adorable snowman ceramics for the teens to paint. She gave tips as they painted and encourage everyone to be creative in their own way.

This was the snow pile before everyone started painting.

Here’s what everyone made. Since it was quite a big craft some people didn’t have enough time to finish but Rosemarie shared that she had a YouTube video that everyone could look at in case they needed help while finishing at home.

Narwhal Pocket Pal

Last Friday, Lisa Colon of iCreate Programs, taught us how to sew our very own narhwals!

This is what was in each kit.

Amy and I even made our own narwhals.

Spring Cookie Wars

The room smelled like sugar and there was frosting all over at least one of the tables, but the Spring Cookie Wars program was AMAZING!!

Theresa Maritato, of Theresa’s Programs, brought cookies and a TON of candy for decorations. She asked the teens to decorate 4 cookies and everyone did an amazing job. After everyone had finished their sugary creations, they voted for each other.

The winners!

Can you guess the theme of the cookies?
