Puella Magi- Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra (2025)
Rated T

Following the famous media franchise, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and succeeding the previous game, Magia Record, is the new role-playing game Magia Exedra. This game centers around a magical girl, the player, who is seeking out the memories of other magical girls to find her true self. In addition to the great storyline and pacing, this game also has a variety of art styles for their units. Kiokus, the in-game name for the units that can be obtained via game currency, can be leveled up and be used in battles. Additionally, the different magical girls that you encounter also have friendship levels that you can level up. Exedra is a very well made game with an easy battle mechanism and transparent/well-explained unit drop rates.

However, one of the major issues I have with this game is how hard it is to get in-game currency: the diamonds. As a new player, the chances for obtaining those diamonds are relatively easy, since there are many available game content for them to clear. But as soon as you reach end-game, the only way of obtaining those diamonds are clearing missions, event stories, and future game content to come. Even so, the battle mechanism is easy enough that a full team of high-rarity units are not a requirement. It all depends on personal preferences.

Overall, I give this game a 4/5. A good game with amazing graphics, but I cannot see myself playing it long-term.

Among Us (2018)
Rated E10+

Among Us is an engaging multiplayer game that blends teamwork and deception in a way that keeps players hooked. Set in a spaceship or space station, players work together to complete tasks, but among them are “impostors” whose goal is to sabotage the mission and eliminate others without getting caught. The tension builds as players discuss and vote off suspected impostors, all while trying to stay alive and complete their own objectives. A large part of the game is its social interaction, where communication, persuasion, and trust (or lack of it) are key to winning. Despite its simple mechanics, Among Us can lead to funny moments, making it a must-play for anyone who enjoys casual yet highly social gameplay.

Pokémon TCG Pocket (2024)
Rated E

Pokémon TCG Pocket allows fans to play the digital version of the iconic trading card game, offering players a chance to collect cards, build decks, and engage in strategic 1v1 battles. The game is characterized by regular updates, and a wide variety of cards, providing fun for both newcomers and veterans. While the game is free-to-play, it is possible to purchase booster packs and other cosmetics in game, to give players an advantage. However, the unique multiplayer experience, active community, and enjoyable deck-building mechanics make it a highly enjoyable and engaging experience for any Pokémon fan looking to test their skills against others.

Fortnite Reload (2024)
Rated T

Fortnite’s “Reload” mode, introduced in June 2024, offers a dynamic twist on the traditional Battle Royale experience. Set on a compact map inspired by the original Fortnite island, Reload accommodates 40 players divided into 10 four-player squads. A standout feature is the respawn mechanic: as long as at least one team member remains alive, fallen players can respawn after a brief countdown, ensuring continuous action and reducing downtime. citeturn0search7
This mode’s rapid pace and strategic depth have garnered positive feedback. Players appreciate the intensified combat and the opportunity to engage in frequent battles. A Reddit user noted, “It’s fun, fast-paced, and even better with duos as an option.” citeturn0search0
However, some players have expressed concerns. The swift respawn system can lead to relentless engagements, which may feel overwhelming for those preferring a more methodical pace. Additionally, the mode’s focus on combat over survival has been noted as a departure from traditional Battle Royale elements. citeturn0search1
In summary, Fortnite’s Reload mode revitalizes the Battle Royale formula by emphasizing fast-paced, team-oriented gameplay with unique respawn mechanics. While it may not cater to every player’s preference, it offers an exhilarating alternative for those seeking a more action-packed experience.
